The Elongated Tortoises live in moist tropical rain forests. It has a strong territorial sense; with a huge amount of energy, the Elongated Tortoise can move at quick speeds. Its shell stretches from 33 centimeters to 29 centimeters. The shell becomes effective around after seven years later, growing to lengths of 20 centimeters before offering effective protection. Each female turtle lays 2-3 eggs per den, and can occupy 2-4 dens per year. The eggs usually take around 120-140 days to hatch.
